Ries, Matt

Dr. Matt Ries is part of DC Water's Strategy & Performance team as the Director of Sustainability and Watershed Management at DC Water. Before that, he was Chief Technical Officer at WEF and Matt also was a consultant in the municipal and industrial water sector. He is a registered PE in Virginia. He has a BS, MS, and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He was recently also a Senior Research Fellow down the road at the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) in conjunction with his doctoral research. Matt is on the Board of the Anacostia Watershed Society and also served on the Board of Directors of Alexandria Renew Enterprises.
